Thanks so much to those of you who took the time to vote in my recent poll! It looks like a large majority of you are wanting to see me to finish: *drum roll please.....*

Classic Harley Quinn I love you icon
AND
Justice League War Wonder Woman! wonder woman gif Diana Prince

These are the items I will be needing in order to get photos! Until these items are purchased I won't be able to! #58 Free Icon: Usagi Tsukino (Sailor Moon) 50x50

1. Classic Harley Quinn:
-$30 mask
-$52 white jester collar OR $35 for "Hush" Style pointed collar

2. Justice League War Wonder Woman:
-$18 gloves
-$48 belt

If you're interested anything helps! Whether that's sponsoring the entire cost of an item or something like $10.

I'm also in need of some blue contact lenses for anyone interested in sponsoring the cost of those $25.

Right fella (Reactions) I'M ALSO OFFERING MINI DIGITAL SETS (12-15 images) OF UNPOSTED IMAGES OF TSUNADE, BOMBSHELL CHEETAH, AND AN UPCOMING SWIM SET!

These are likely going to range from $20-$35 depending on the amount of photos. All of which are high-quality and taken on my Nikon. The swim set might be more depending on image amount for example having a mini set or a larger set.

My Nikon sets include settings that are relevant for the character and are edited for quality this is why they are more compared to some cosplayers that sell sets on a mass scale.

In addition to selling prints, I also offer painting commissions! Here are some examples of my work. (Prices range from $35-$100 currently depending on difficulty and time invested.)

It's about to be Christmas once again! :D Wow, this year has flown by! I have been so busy with my class that I haven't gotten to do many of my shoots this year, but my last semester is coming up and should be easier; which means more time for shoots!

I hope everyone has been enjoying the holiday season so far!

PART 2: Information About My Cosplays/ Why I Need Sponsors

I know that I am by no means a famous cosplayer, but I go hold myself to the same artistic expression and quality. :) (Smile) I am writing this journal in an attempt to gain new sponsors, keep previous sponsors interested, and to inform those who are curious about how I go about each new cosplay.

What does this mean?
1. REPRESENTATION: I try to hold true to the look and personality of the character in my photo cosplay portrayals. This includes spending time picking out great settings which can be incredibly difficult if you live in a smaller town.

2. RESEARCH: Due to the above, I invest a lot of time doing research; this means I:

-Spend several hours looking up reference images; including character models and concept art.
-Reading the comic issues or watching the show/film the character is in
-Researching the fabrics/ patterns that I think would suit the character well, but ones that are also durable and comfortable.
-Practicing makeups in which I try to contour and reshape to suit the character naturally and realistically; in addition to changing skin tone and eye color with makeup and lenses.

  • Spend several hours tracking down the best reference images online of the characters (including character models/ concepts)
  •  Reading the comic issues or watching the episodes they're in (depending on the character origin)
  • Researching the fabrics/ patterns that I think will not only represent the character well, but will also hold up in terms of comfort and durability.

  • Practicing several makeup techniques and learning new ones to help contour my features; I use my art minor background for characters that have unique skintones like She-Hulk, Raven, and Starfire to make sure the tones are realistic  as they can be.  Raven: Makeup Test by HarleyTheSirenxoxo  She-Hulk: Makeup Test 1 by HarleyTheSirenxoxo  Starfire: Makeup/ Wig Test by HarleyTheSirenxoxo
  • I love all the characters I cosplay and I want to do a great job representing them as I can to make sure I do them justice! Futaba Shining Icon by Magical-Icon

3. COST: By doing both of the above I end up with totals that are much higher than costumes that can be bought off the rack. (This doesn't mean you need to spend a lot to do a cosplay or that you need to spend a lot for it do be "good", but personally I love doing my best to represent a character and like the challenge of putting it together to see how far I can push my normal appearance toward the character.

The cost is also higher for me personally because my body type doesn't normally allow me to buy things off the rack; I have a spinal curve that I normally have to have things specially fitted for; this and I am pear-shaped. This is why I have to have several items specially made. A seamstress not only charges for making a garment, fitting it to your body type, making custom patterns, the cost of fabric, and labor for time invested.

4. WHY NOT SEW IT YOURSELF?
I used to sew with my grandmother, but when I moved for graduate school I no longer see her as often and do not have the help I need to fit patterns; nor do I have the time to pattern and sew each piece myself while I am working on my degree. Without aid I do not have the skills to make a quality garment that will hold up for several wears. I do however do a lot of applique/ craft work to my items such as with Enchantress in which I completely have redone all the painting; reglued several pieces, and remade several of the pieces including the arm-bands and loincloth.

4. INCOME: I ask for sponsors because I do not hold a steady job; I am a full time graduate student and I do not have the time to devote to keeping my grades high in addition to a part-time job in my area. I depend on the sales of my cosplay prints, original paintings and drawings, and the kindness of sponsors.

Here are some examples of my traditional artwork:
Magical Cat by HarleyTheSirenxoxoEternal Stalemate: Victoria Hampton by HarleyTheSirenxoxo Hellboy: Mike Mignola Inspiration by HarleyTheSirenxoxo Malachite: I Need You by HarleyTheSirenxoxo  Eye of The Universe: Victoria Hampton by HarleyTheSirenxoxo

If anyone is interested I need to make some print sales; without sales (or general sponsorships) I am sad to say after this years planned character photoshoots are over I won't be working on any new cosplays as I don't have the extra funds to spend; I have made a list below of those I would LOVE to finish for shoots over this year and the next.

I will also be selling cosplays after photoshoots for those interested in purchasing certain cosplays; I always try to recycle funds back in and reuse as many pieces as I can to save money. :D

PART 2: Information About My Cosplays/ Why I Need Sponsors

I know that I am by no means a famous cosplayer, but I go hold myself to the same artistic expression and quality. :) I am writing this journal in an attempt to gain new sponsors, keep previous sponsors interested, and to inform those who are curious about how I go about each new cosplay.

  • Spend several hours tracking down the best reference images online of the characters (including character models/ concepts)
  •  Reading the comic issues or watching the episodes they're in (depending on the character origin)
  • Researching the fabrics/ patterns that I think will not only represent the character well, but will also hold up in terms of comfort and durability.

Without help I do not have the skills to make a quality garment that will hold up for several wears.
